Every Bambu Lab printer, with or without AMS. Other printers work too: the file is a standard 3MF, you just set the colour changes in your slicer.
No. Each colour is printed in its own range of layers, so without an AMS the printer simply pauses and you swap the spool by hand: one swap per extra colour.
Each colour is a height band. The darkest parts of the photo stay low and get the bottom colour, the brightest parts grow tallest and get the top colour. That is why the colour list always goes from dark to light.
In step 3 you decide how many layers each colour gets, which controls how much of the picture it covers.
Palettes are a quick starting point: pick the one recommended for your photo or a classic set, and it fills in the colour list.
Auto colors is for the filaments you actually own: tap them once, and from then on the generator picks the best of your own spools for every photo and sets the layers for you.
Filament colors is the final list the puzzle is printed with. Whichever way you got there, you can still swap, add or remove a colour by hand.
In short: if your spools are set up in Auto colors, use that. Otherwise start from a Palette. Then fine-tune the final list if you want.
Up to 12 filaments. Most photos look great with 4, and every extra colour adds a filament change.
Colours print from the bottom up, and the first colour is never needed again once its layers are done. So its AMS slot can take the fifth colour later in the print. You only swap one spool, once.
The gap is the space cut between pieces. Too small and pieces are hard to fit, too big and the puzzle feels loose. 0.25 mm is the print-tested default for puzzles, 0.20 mm for wall panel seams.
Every printer is a little different, so the generator has a Gap test button next to the gap setting: a quick print with 8 labelled joints from 0.10 to 0.50 mm. Pick the one that snaps in with light pressure and use that value.
Yes. Puzzles are split automatically along the piece lines, and wall panels are split into plates joined by dovetail connectors. The generator shows how many plates you need before you generate.
Yes, with Premium or Commercial. Open the project in your dashboard, tap the missing piece and print only that one.
Both give you unlimited generations and every project. Commercial also includes the licence to sell the prints and files you make, for example in your own shop or on Etsy.
Yes. In your profile you can turn on a code from an authenticator app, see every signed-in device and sign out the ones you don't recognise. We also e-mail you when your account is used from a new device.
Uploaded photos are deleted within 24 hours. If you turn on "delete photo after download" in your profile, the photo and the relief made from it are deleted as soon as you download the file. Deleting a project removes all of its files straight away.
